Welcome to the NRA CCW Course!
If you are looking to gain the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense, you have come to the right place. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced gun owner our course is designed to provide you with the tools and information you need to safely and responsibly carry a concealed firearm.
Our instructors are certified by the National Rifle Association and will provide you with hands-on training. You will have the opportunity to practice shooting techniques and learn about different types of firearms, ammunition and holsters.
This is a 16 hr course that meets MD State requirments to obtain a MD CCW permit. This course will cover the following topics: Firearm and Range Safety, Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset, Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment, Firearm Cleaning, and Sport Shooting and Training Activities, MD Law and suicide prevention. As well as shooting fundamentals, marksmanship techniques, different types of ammunition and proper storage practices.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring that you have a solid understanding of all the necessary knowledge and skills to safely and confidently handle a pistol.
Students will complete live fire training to meet both NRA and MD CCW requirements while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive reference books, take a NRA CCW Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.
By the end of the course, you will have the confidence and skills to effectively carry a concealed pistol for personal protection. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your self-defense knowledge and be prepared for any situation that may arise.
Students can either bring their own pistol and ammunition, rent a pistol at the range and purchase ammunition or they will be able to use one of our pistols if desired. Students will be responsible to bring their own eyes and ears and pay their range fee.
